Due to the nature of fresh fish, different products are available every day. Each morning, Tucker's sends through to Castell Howell, a list of products that they have in that day for customers to select from. When you call through to telesales on 01269 846080, ask them about product available that day for collection from Tucker's, that can be delivered to you by Castell Howell the following day with your usual delivery.

Need a product that isn't on the day's stock list? Simply ask your telesales representative to ask Tucker's to order the product in especially for you.

In order to offer the best prices, fresh fish price lists are released weekly on a Monday. To receive the prices via weekly email, simply email marketing@chfoods.co.uk , stating your name & email address that you would like the prices sent to.

Pricing Policy

Tucker's & Castell Howell have an "only pay for what we weigh" policy.

The majority of Tucker's competitors quote prices for "round" fish. What this means is that you will be receiving a price for the whole fish including guts, before any work has been done to it. For example, if you order a kilogram of fish and you would like it gutted, they will weigh out a kilogram of whole or round fish with guts in, gut it, then you will receive what is left. This weight will be considerably less than the kilogram that you ordered. With this method, there is no way of monitoring whether you are getting the fish quantities that you should be receiving.

All of Tucker's prices reflect the price per kilogram of what you actually get. For example, if you order and pay for a kilogram of whole, gutted fish, you will receive a kilogram of gutted fish.

This method may make prices appear less competitive at first glance, it is a far more honest way of supplying customers.

So remember when comparing prices, that Tucker's will only quote you and charge you for the fish that you will use and not the waste such as guts, bones & head that is discarded. This waste can be up to 70%.
